I am currently working alongside a highly successful sixth form college in Birmingham to recruit for a Media Studies teacher. This is a permanent teaching opportunity to start in September 2019. If you have QTS, QTLS or relevant experience of teaching at KS5 or BTEC and are looking for a permanent teaching job in Birmingham, then I would like to hear from you.

Providing exceptional learning is the top priority within this sixth form and the senior management team work closely with their staff to ensure they are part of a strong support network. The college provides a wide range of courses including Arts, Media Studies, Health and Social care, MFL, ICT and Science amongst others. In their most recent Ofsted, they were rated as 'Good with Outstanding Features', with an 'outstanding enrichment programme' They consistently have a +90% pass rate and the vast majority of their second year students progress to university. As a college, they are committed to building upon their success and remaining a provider of the highest quality teaching and learning. The setting is well facilitated to assist their teachers in all lessons provided.

This post is offered as a permanent, full time role, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role it is offered as a paid to scale post. The college are able to fully support NQTs in completing their induction year and have links with a local secondary school who assist in this. All applications are to be dealt with by Hays Education. The ideal candidate for this permanent Media Studies teaching job will hold UK QTS or QTLS. It's important that candidates also have recent experience teaching KS5 or at BTEC level and have strong knowledge of the current Media Studies curriculum. Candidates for this job will be professional, punctual and contribute to raising standards and pupil attainment. You will be an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about student progress and is committed to helping pupils to achieve their academic potential. The ideal candidate will be in a long term or permanent teaching role or will be due to complete their teaching qualifications prior to September 2019. Satisfactory references from previous employers or placements will need to be provided if successful in your application.
