Responsibilities of the JDE Financial Systems Accountant:
  • Leading projects to investigate root causes of system defects and work closely with ECHO process owners, Subject Matter Experts, Glory Centre of Excellence and External consultants to resolve.
  • Involvement in design of new system features and testing prior to deployments.
  • Identification of system improvements to yield operating benefits to Glory.
  • Maintain and keep up to date process documentation for defined areas.
  • Ad hoc support to Subject Matter Experts and End Users in investigating and resolving day to day discrepancies within the system.
  • Support GGS countries post system go-live in the following tasks:
  • Review of financial transactions to ensure system is operating as expected.
  • Troubleshooting of issues identified.
  • Perform ad hoc training to existing and new users in deployed countries.
  • Ad hoc projects.

Requirements of the JDE Financial Systems Accountant:
  • Ideally qualified accountant
  • Experience of working as a systems accountant for an ERP system (ideally JD Edwards) and/or at least two years' experience of working with JD Edwards within a global organisation.
  • Experience of working with TEST environments;
  • Ability to interact with various stakeholders
  • Strong systems/process background.
  • English speaker; additional language skills favoured
  • Has experience working in an international group and a technical system accounting environment;
  • Team player, relationship building approach;
  • Ability to challenge peers and superiors in a constructive and professional manner;
  • Provide solutions to problems;
  • Highly self-motivated and directed;
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work accurately;
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent MS Excel skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results;
  • Additional language would be an advantage.
