TRAVEL SALES TEAM LEADER

ROMFORD, ESSEX

UP TO £32,000 BASIC + BONUS + LUCRATIVE BENEFITS + PROGRESSION

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Due to growth of the business I am currently recruiting for my client based in Romford, Essex for a Travel Sales Team Leader to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join a successful and well-established business who are the market leader within their sector. They are looking for someone who has come from a Travel background within Travel Agency or a Travel Call Centre environment. You must have experience within being a team leader and coaching up to 30 staff. In return you will be offered a competitive basic salary of up to £32,000, bonus, strong career progression and other amazing benefits!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To drive and proactively increase sales through both the Contact & Sales Team
  • To report to the Sales Managers daily on all sales related activity
  • Call monitoring and email quote monitoring
  • Update team on performance and business information through team meetings and other communication channels
  • To manage the performance of your team effectively, including the ongoing review of performance, 1-2-1's, appraisals, coaching and objective setting
  • Working as a team to manage the floor
  • Being creative to help drive sales, encourage employee engagement leading to a high-performance culture
  • Ensuring individuals have an understanding and are demonstrating our Core Values
  • Participate in the creation and delivery of events surrounding current marketing activity and incentives
  • To assist in implementing new product to Contact & Sales team
  • To assist with driving deals and distributing them to the sales team
  • Ensuring the sales process is efficient as possible and assist with daily troubleshooting
  • To distribute enquiries
  • To answer phones and reply to customers in the absence of sales agents
  • Authorising Shift swaps and monitoring of lateness and sickness
  • Daily sales stats/incentives communicated to sales team and updated

THE PERSON:
  • Solid experience in a leadership/supervisory role
  • A strong travel background is essential
  • Call centre experience is desirable
  • The resilience and composure to remain positive under pressure and continually evolving circumstances
  • Strong consultative coaching skills and the strength of personality to motivate and inspire your team
  • Good time management and the organisation to effectively prioritise your teams' workloads
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Results focused and committed to the values surrounding outstanding service delivery through effective people management
  • Ability to multi-task, and work on own initiative making informed decisions within area of responsibility
  • A good decision maker that portrays excellent influencing skills
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in managing a team
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a sales and target driven environment
  • Ability to manage a high workload, prioritising tasks and delivering to timescales as required by the business
  • Experience managing remote workers is desirable but not essential

ABOUT THE BENEFITS:
