If the answers to the above questions are yes, then a nursery based in Fulbourn has the ideal role for you. They are recruiting an experienced room leader for their ever-expanding nursery. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, caring and have a can-do attitude. You must hold a minimum UK Level 3 Early Years qualification although they will consider Level 2 qualifications with suitable experience.

For this role you must have excellent knowledge of the EYFS and be comfortable leading a strong team of assistants, nurses and apprentices.

The nursery will provide on-going training and can offer the successful candidate the chance to progress at a pace that suits them as they firmly believe in recruiting from within.

The children take part in a wide range of activities including the 'growing readers, writers and mathematicians' programme, music lessons and a range of sporting activities. The nursery is set in Capital Park and has a large garden that caters for all ages. The rooms have all been recently refurbished with state-of-the-art toys and activities. The nursery has excellent public transport with buses every 20 minutes form Cambridge city centre and is close to the M11 and 3 miles from the city centre.

Your responsibilities include:

* Overseeing the smooth running and high-quality early years practice in the room

* Being a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS.

* Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues. * Ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times.

You will need:
* A full and relevant Early Years qualification - Level 3 or above (but they will consider level 2 qualifications with suitable experience).
* An excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and the Ofsted inspection framework.
* A comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations.
* To be fully trained in safeguarding and paediatric first aid.
