Sustainability Compliance Administrator

Akton Recruitment currently has an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Compliance Administrator to join the team of a Large Company in Yorkshire.

To support the Divisional Sustainability Team in adhering to both OFGEM and Suppliers Energy Company Obligation (ECO) requirements and maintaining the necessary associated accreditations.

This role will be responsible for collating, validating and preparing submissions to Suppliers on a weekly basis, operating within contractual deadlines to ensure compliance.
  • Assisting the Divisional Sustainability team with the compliance of energy efficiency and microgeneration works.
  • Maintain a wide knowledge and understanding of the sector and pass this knowledge onto the regional team.
  • Provide compliance advice to regional teams regarding energy efficiency measures.
  • Prepare and validate all submission documents to energy supplier partners to ensure draw down of funding.
  • To ensure that there are zero compliance failures resulting from poor and inaccurate submission information, and to ensure that any failures are disseminated throughout regional teams and Installers and do not reoccur.
  • To ensure all Strategic Partner contractual deadlines are adhered to.
  • Engage with key supply chain partners to support the effective development and delivery of projects.
  • Where appropriate, attend external events and represent the company at conferences etc.
  • Assist with the collation of relevant data and the preparation of reports.
  • To be trained as a Super User within the Fulgent system.
  • Any other reasonable management request.



  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a related subject


  • Knowledge of the energy sector
  • Understanding of low carbon and energy efficiency technologies
  • Prior experience delivering work under Government led incentive scheme

Skills / Knowledge

  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to review detail quickly and accurately from numerous documents
  • Ability to liaise with external organisations working to strict deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess a pro-active approach to work
  • Literate in MS Office

  • Advanced skills in MS Office
  • Understand the Sustainability ECO Sector, and the compliance requirements associated.
  • Understanding that failure will result in loss of revenue to the business.
  • Flexible & adaptable (to cope with frequent changes in government guidance and associated working practices).
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Understand the power of collaboration and relationships
  • Proven communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Good levels of numeracy
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office programs, particularly in MS Excel
