HiHo Recruitment Consultants are currently seeking a strong administrative candidate for their client based in South East Leeds. Working as a Purchase Ledger Clerk ou should have an interest in pursuing a career within accounts however, no accounting experience is essential at this stage.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PURCHASE LEDGER CLERK
Directly reporting to the Financial Controller, the employee must manage their own time and workloads to maximise efficiencies. The employee's duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Inputting invoices from suppliers on 3 bespoke systems
  • Raising and resolving any queries with invoices
  • Raising payments to suppliers in a timely manner
  • Invoicing customers for vehicles purchased
  • Taking payments for vehicles from customers at a payment counter
  • Paying off any payments received through the bank for vehicles
  • Dealing with customers face to face

SKILLS REQUIRED FROM THE PURCHASE LEDGER CLERK:
  • Strong computer skills, including the use of systems & Microsoft packages
  • Problem solving
  • Strong communication at all levels including senior directors
  • Efficient and thorough administration
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Commercially aware
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced working environment
