Job overview:

The Infrastructure Engineer will be working within Heathrow Airport as Shift Infrastructure engineer.

Job Responsibilities:
Monitor ticketing queue - Respond to service requests/incidents Resolve/escalate infrastructure related incidents within a certain time frame Minimize disruptions Maintain a good work knowledge on current IT trends/markets Monitor systems and identify performance issues proactively Support/design, implement and test of disaster recovery routines and procedures Develop and maintain new existing procedure
Team and customer delivery:
Create effective and good working relationships with all departments to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded Create effective and good working customer relationships to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded, whilst maintaining strong partnerships with customer's primary contractors. Working as part of a team to ensure a smooth running of the department and business. Responsible for the continuous improvement of policies and procedures Learning continuously and developing professional potential and ability. Support a safe working environment within business development through championing and encouragement of a safety first culture.

The apprentice will report to:CTS Manager

Articulate Hands-on attitude Self-motivated

Desired qualification requirements:

3 x GCSE (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject, plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalents) at grade D or above.

Working week:

You will be ona shift pattern - which will be a 12 hour shift,2 Day Shifts/2 Night Shifts (48 hrs) and 5 days off.

QA's apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
