Continually growing at 25% per year for several years, and due to this continuing stable growth, there is now an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design CAD Engineer (Production) to join the team.

Job Profile

We are looking for an individual to work as part of the Production Engineering team, supporting part & assembly design amendments and the associated drawings & documentation through engineering change control and within the companies engineering practice guidelines.

To also work closely with the Technical Process Engineer to design tooling and engineering fixtures and jigs to support production processes for existing and new product designs.

As the successful Mechanical Design CAD Engineer, you will have design experience and a methodical process discipline. You must be comfortable with prioritising work to support changing operational needs and be able to provide creative design solutions as well as low level design amendments and corrections.

Skills & Experience:
  • A recognised engineering degree (preferably mechanical) or relevant experience
  • Proven product design skills with experience producing technical drawings using CAD packages (Autodesk Inventor preferably)
  • An understanding of common engineering material, production methods and tolerances
  • Experience working on optoelectronic products would be an advantage, as would an understanding of electromechanical components and thermal management
  • Ability to provide timely corrective solutions to identified issues

Hours of Work:
  • 40 hour per week
  • 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
  • Flexibility on hours is available
