Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Derbyshire

An established and growing leading heavy manufacture is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to add to their maintenance team. The right person for this role will be a time served mechanical apprentice with a strong background in maintenance. This is a permanent position working mornings and afternoons on a 2 shift system.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned maintenance and repairs to all site equipment
  • Able to communicate with the rest of the team effectively
  • Responsible for all plant assets entrusted to you
  • Monitor and ensure all plant stoppages, breakdowns, and logs are documented correctly
  • Adhere to site health and safety regulations to the highest standards at all times and encourage others to do the same
Essential

  • Apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer
  • Competent welding skills
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic trained
  • Experience in planning and maintain schedules
  • Good knowledge of engineering drawings
Desirable

  • Higher qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (HNC, ONC)
  • IOSH/NEBOSH
  • Flexibility with shifts and overtime
