Our client, a prestigious education body in London is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Project Manager to work with colleagues in the digital team to ensure all digital products are developed to a high specification, on time and on budget. Reporting to their Head of Digital, this Project Manager will ensure that products are:
  • developed to specification,
  • tested and brought to market on time,
  • delivered to agreed costs and to a high level of quality

You would be responsible for delivering a range of Content-driven Digital Assets including:
  • Online and Offline Applications
  • Multimedia
  • Databases
  • APIs
  • Mobile Apps
  • MarComms / Marketing Communications such as Email / Advertising banners

The digital team includes sectors such as editorial, design, sales and marketing and so this PM needs to be able to effectively communicate with these teams in order to reach the highest standards for projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage agreed budgets, schedules, and development once projects are signed off by the Head of Digital, Digital Director and executive management team
  • Co-ordinate the collation, checking and amendment (where required), and distribution of assets required by external suppliers
  • Ensure that - working in conjunction with external agencies and relevant internal staff - agreed developments are adequately briefed and scheduled to avoid increases in costs and delays in delivery
  • Once projects are signed off and initiated, be responsible for prioritisation of resources and developments in collaboration with sales and marketing colleagues - including ensuring that provision for and delivery of sales and marketing mechanisms required to sell and distribute developed products are put in place to budget and schedule
  • Assist the Head of Digital in the commissioning of developers, designers and suppliers
  • Co-ordinate project teams for specific developments as required - these will encompass a range of staff from various departments
  • Regularly communicate project status to project and digital teams

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A thorough knowledge of the publishing process
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a proven track record in digital project management
  • Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills, ensuring that information is shared in a clear and timely fashion with internal departments and external partners (developers and stakeholder individuals / organisations)
