About Mishcon de Reya:
Based in London with offices in New York, Mishcon de Reya services an international community of clients and provides advice in situations where the constraints of geography often do not apply. The work we undertake is cross-border, multi-jurisdictional and complex.

Roles and responsibilities:
• Counsel/Expert fees - accurately process invoices, ensuring they are allocated to the correct client files.
• include Office account payments, to posting via our accounts software and entering on online banking.
• Opening and sorting incoming accounts post.
• Delivering of cheques around the firm and to local bank.
• Posting office transactions including electronic searches and write offs.
• Assisting the client cashiers with the monitoring of incoming funds.
• Accurate posting of client monies to the system.
• Transfer of funds to pay our bills.
• Working with the client, office and billing teams on ad-hoc projects.
• Providing support to the billing team during busy periods - to include filing and administrative support.

Skills required:
• Genuine interest to develop a career within a leading Finance Department is essential.
• Dynamic and driven individual who demonstrates a positive and 'can-do' attitude.
• Adaptable and flexible approach to work, happy to get stuck in to all aspects of the role.
• Enjoys working as part of a team as well as independently.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills
• Strong IT skills with an aptitude to learn new software.

Personal qualities:
• An inquisitive mind that enjoys learning - both from an academic and on the job perspective.
• A genuine interest in understanding how businesses (and particularly Law Firms) operate.
• Demonstrates a strong interest to become an expert-user in Excel.
• Self-motivated and disciplined to be able to juggle academic deadlines with their workload.
• Personable and confident, able to build relationships with partners/ key stakeholders
• Resilient and calm under pressure
Entry requirements:
• Five GCSE grades C - A* (or 4-9), including Maths and English

• Good knowledge of IT packages e.g Microsoft Office, Google Docs/Sheets etc.
• Access to the WhiteHat community and events.
Included in qualification:
  1. Training on the 15 month Standard Level 3 Business Administrator (BA3) apprenticeship.
  2. Being a WhiteHat apprentice means access to awesome social events, sports teams, insight/career days with other apprentices to grow your network, as well as your own personal Coach who will guide you through the qualification to help you achieve your full potential.
  3. As part of your WhiteHat Apprenticeship, you will have access to our Future Leaders Foundation modules to develop 6 key competencies, underpinned by well-being, self-awareness, motivation, conscientiousness, effectiveness and grit.

What's next:

After your Business Administration apprenticeship progress into HR, Recruitment, Sales, Marketing & PR, Real Estate, Personal Assistant, Office Management, Business Management. Most of the above can be completed in a higher-level qualification.
