Service Desk Manager / Helpdesk Team Leader required for my client based near Basingstoke for a 6 month contract - rate negotiable.

My client are looking to take on a Service Desk Manager as part of a secondment process to look after 2-3 Service Desk Analysts. You will be required to be technically hands on and be part of the support team as required.

Shifts may be required (an 8 hour shift between the hours of 8am - 6pm - either 8am-4pm / 9am-5pm / 10am - 6pm)

My client operates an ITIL environment so you will need knowledge and ideally a certification in this.

Responsibilities:

Day to day management of Service Desk staff
Delegation of work based on priority and severity
Managing productivity within the team
Working with senior management to drive efficiencies within the desks
Enforcing and adapting SLA's and KPI's
Working based on ITIL principles
Escalation management
Defining duties of tiered Engineers

Experience:

2+ years of people management experience in a Service Desk / Helpdesk environment
ITIL experience
