Purpose of Position: This role will primarily be responsible for the support, maintenance and development of our internal IT infrastructure, keeping in line with our technology roadmap. You will need to be proactive whilst adhering to the ITIL best practices framework. Qualifications & Skills Required: Degree or HNC/HND in IT Support, Computer Science or Related Discipline Relevant first line IT support experience Managing information technology and computer systems Ability to plan, organise, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations Ability to Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures Experience in security of data, network access and backup systems Experience in identifying problematic areas and implementing strategic solutions Experience in auditing systems and assessing their outcomes Ability to preserve assets, information security and control structures Excellent organisational skills Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Good prioritisation skills and be flexible enough to adapt plans Great IT skills combined with a good head for business Ability to explain complex systems in simple terms An ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints Responsibilities: Onsite first-line support for users and configuring new users and computers Daily IT and system troubleshooting, software application support Ensuring that software and operating systems are up to date, deploying patches Maintaining, Documenting and reporting on all of eGroups IT systems Sourcing IT parts and equipment Evaluating the latest technologies and making recommendations to management on potential opportunities or improvements. Providing expertise and support to implementation of a company IMS Assisting the business with IT and security awareness training Overseeing IT budgets to make sure there are no unnecessary expenditures. Supports the Group Supply Chain Manager in setting budgets and in making applications for expenditure. Developing and directing all networking safeguards to reduce the risk of outside breaches and protect sensitive internal and external client information Developing and implementing all internal communication systems, such as voice, video conferencing, email and instant messaging Planning and implementing proper IT usage policies for employees Directing the development of disaster recovery plans and ensuring their implementation in instances of a breach Assisting the Group Supply Chain Manager with the ongoing development of the IT strategy for the business, working with colleagues throughout the business to understand their IT needs Manage the licence allocation for the infrastructure systems employed within the business
