Departmental Overview
Newcastle Financial Advisers Limited (NFAL) is the Society's financial advice subsidiary and has been providing trusted advice to new and existing customers for over 16 years.

We provide a restricted advice service through our Appointed Representative relationship with Openwork who are one of the UK's largest financial services distribution networks. The Openwork proposition gives our advisers access to pension, investment and protection products from some of the UK's biggest financial brands to meet the needs of our customers.

Role Summary

We have 2 roles available. This opportunity will give you an understanding of our financial advice subsidiary through providing support services to the financial advice team whilst developing knowledge of regulated sales processes and attaining the CII's Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.

You will be part of a training programme ran in conjunction with our advice partner Openwork to develop future Financial Adviser talent whilst providing you with experiential learning and technical skills development. NFAL has an ambitious plan to expand its advice reach in the North East and to achieve this we will require substantial growth in our Adviser numbers.

Successful completion of the graduate scheme will progress you into a Technical Advice Co-ordinator role until final appointment to Financial Adviser*.

What does the recruitment process look like?

Our Graduate vacancies will be live until 10th May 2019. If you are successful from this stage you will be invited along to an assessment centre at our Cobalt office on Friday 24th May. All successful candidates will join us in September 2019.

Skills and Experience

You should have, or expect to achieve, a minimum of 2:2 degree or equivalent qualification.

Confidence to communicate effectively to a range of stakeholders via different methods of communication

Strong attention to detail and organisation skills

An ability to work both independently and within a team

Willingness to commit to your own development
