This national company are looking for an experienced and responsible Accounts Payable clerk to manage daily tasks in relation to suppliers. Duties of the Accounts Payable clerk will include, dealing with all suppliers, central and cost centre colleagues to ensure that supplier are paid to terms, resolving supplier enquiries disputes and providing support to the Financial Operations team at Head Office.

Main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
  • Invoice processing & matching for suppliers of goods and services
  • Processing of high volume of purchase invoices in a timely manner
  • Statement reconciliations using Excel
  • Resolving supplier and cost centre queries relating to invoicing
  • Ensuring that payments to suppliers are accurate
  • Creation of purchase orders for head office users
  • Liaison with the Buying team to resolve price discrepancies
  • To provide adhoc support to other finance activities as and when required

Knowledge/Experience and Systems experience required:
  • Experience of Accounts Payable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Good working knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) including VLookup and Pivot Tables
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Methodical and thorough approach to work
  • A great team player
  • Keen to learn new skills, willing to be flexible and adapt as processes and the Company change
