Ideal role for a Maintenance electrician looking to get better and learn controls.

As a maintenance engineer you will be responsible for providing breakdown cover and completing planned preventive maintenance on a busy production site that produces over 2 million bricks per annum. You will be responsible for maintaining plant machinery including belt conveyors, roller conveyors, kiln cars, robotics, shrink wrapping machinery and brick extruders.

You will have the responsibility of keeping breakdown time to a minimum, improving machine efficiency and working in conjunction with the groups LEAN and continuous improvement plans.

Further responsibilities include;

• Essential planned maintenance and necessary repairs to keep the factory in good working order. Provide electrical maintenance cover through effective and efficient response to plant breakdowns throughout the factory.

• Learning necessary skills to be able to operate all areas of plant to ensure correct operation following maintenance work.

• Leading factory-wide Electrical Regulatory Compliance.

• Promoting Electrical Safety and Safe Working Practices.

• Being actively involved in the TPM Improvement Process.

About you

As a maintenance engineer should have the following:

Recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship and Qualification. Or Electrical exforces background
  • A methodical mind set, with the ability to problem solve and adapt with short notice.
  • The ability to work within a proactive nature.
  • Have a passion for engineering,
