Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk needed for manufacturing company based in Wigan

Your new company
Your new company are a well known manufacturing company based in the Hindley area. They are seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk for initially 4 weeks to cover workload. You will be joining a small and friendly team and will be reporting into the Finance Director.

Your new role
Your new role will involve matching, checking and coding invoices, working out VAT payments, making payments via BACS and cheques, processing staff expenses, setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details, reconciliation of supplier statements, filing invoices, data entry, being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you must have recent purchase ledger experience. Experience within a manufacturing company is beneficial but not essential. You must be organised, have excellent communication skills and be IT literate using accounting systems.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will gain experience in a fast paced finance office. Free parking is available on site and this is a full time position being 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday. You must be available immediately.
