Payroll Assistant - £20,000 to £25,000 - 12 Months Fixed Term Contract Assignment - Reading

My client is a leading business based within Reading with an excellent reputation and business model that is well respected in its sector.

Due to a high volume of incoming quires, our client are in pursuit of a Payroll Assistant to join their team on a 6 months fixed term contract.
  • Collect, compile and enter payroll data using appropriate software, managing end to end process
  • Must have UK payroll experience
  • Review and verify source documents
  • Calculate and post payroll deductions
  • Process payroll by established deadlines
  • Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors
  • Update payroll records by recording changes
  • Process new employees, terminations, transfers and promotions
  • Prepare and print payroll reports of earnings, hours worked, taxes, insurance, leave
  • Complete requests for pay-related documents including statements and verifications
  • Dealing with any incoming quires from staff

The ideal candidate will have following skills:
  • Must have UK payroll experience
  • 1 experience within the payroll arena
  • Worked in a volume payroll environment
