Our client is an outstanding grammar school, looking for a passionate and dedicated Music specialist to teach up to A level; someone who enjoys sharing their enthusiasm as well as their knowledge with students.

Music is very much at the heart of the school with over 200 students currently taking instrumental and vocal lessons. There is an extensive range of lunchtime music activities for students, including 2 school orchestras, a gospel choir and a broad choice of instrumental and vocal groups. In addition to the annual Christmas, Spring and Soloists' Concerts, they also have an annual musical production.

Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls offer extremely motivated and high achieving students, supportive colleagues and a wide range of opportunities for professional development. The Ideal Candidate:
  • Good honours degree in a relevant subject area and a love of the subject.
  • An excellent classroom practitioner.
  • Ability to teach Music in the secondary phase from Years 7-13, with experience of teaching A level Music Excellent subject knowledge.
  • Familiar with current subject and educational developments.
  • Reliability and integrity Keen to be involved in curriculum development.

  • Ability to embrace and be part of a fast paced, dynamic environment Confident user of ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
