An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to work in the centre of Newcastle. Reporting to the FD, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of all financial matters. Your duties will be as follows:

·Preparing year-end accounts for all companies and liaising with the auditors

·Preparing regular management accounts, balance sheets and cashflows for the Executive and Board

·Ensuring that the company complies with all fiscal reporting and requirements of the Charity Commission, Companies House and HMRC

·Ensuring that VAT, Gift Aid, taxation and PAYE returns are completed accurately and on time

·Maintaining the company's asset register and adhering to the company's policy on depreciation

·Preparing financial systems and procedures for approval by the Finance Director, Executive Director and the Board of Directors

·Ensuring that all financial operations are conducted appropriately and in the best interests of the company

·Preparing and posting month end journals, including payroll journals

·Ensuring compliance with pensions legislation, including auto-enrolment

·Supporting the Finance Director and budget holders with timely and accurate financial information

·Preparing and posting sales ledger invoices

·Preparing contra accounts, and all financial aspects of contracts, leases and other agreements entered into by the company

·Preparing financial information for funding applications and monitoring

·Acting as an authorised signatory and processing BACS transfers as required

You will be qualified AAT or part qualified ACCA/CIMA or ACA with a desire to progress through professional training. You will have a minimum of three years' experience working at management accountant or finance officer/supervisor level. Experience of using Sage 200 or similar and Sage Payroll will be advantageous. Charity experience would be ideal.

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per year
