SHL has a 3rd party spend of approximately £35 million across 2,000 suppliers. Based in the head office, the Procurement team supports in a devolved model, the 30 global offices to manage and reduce costs in all areas, and mitigate risks to the business. We are now seeking a Procurement Business Partner to report into the Global Head of Procurement to support the cost control and management of 3rd party partners across SHL.

Key Accountabilities:
  • To support the cost control and management of 3rd party partners across SHL.
  • Assist in the establishment of Centre of Excellence to maximise the value provided by suppliers to SHL.
  • Identification and execution of opportunities to reduce costs and streamline purchasing processes.
  • Development of a robust compliance and security strategy across the company (over 20 Business Units in as many countries), and through the supply chain.
  • Minimise risks to SHL Group whilst allowing the entrepreneurial character of the business to flourish.
  • Ensuring the effective control of SHL costs at all points of the supplier lifecycle.
  • Day to day handling of queries and questions raised through the Procurement Helpdesk.
  • Liaising with Accounts Payable, and other Finance stakeholders. Managing and resolving day to day supplier queries in a timely manner.
  • Supporting the advocacy of the Procurement function across the business.
  • Other duties as outlined by the Head of Procurement.

Knowledge and skills:
  • MCIPS qualified graduate ideally.
  • 5-8 years' experience of strategic procurement and supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of effective savings and cost reduction across indirect spend areas.
  • Strong commercial and negotiations skills.
  • Microsoft Office IT literacy.
  • Previous experience of working in a global multi-site procurement role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; the role will influence the behaviour of colleagues across the business.
  • Ability to review supplier contracts and documentation, with support from the Legal team when necessary.
  • Detail-conscious and well-organised and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to demonstrate tangible results through working with the organization, not against it.
