Key Account Manager Construction - Midland/ South of England
Our client are a well established market leader in the Safety Sector. They have a highly respected brand and are renowned for delivering exceptional customer service as well as being a great place to work with strong ethics and values.

They now require a driven and highly service lead Key Account Manager to maintain and grow the business with a complex existing client base across the Midlands and South of England Area in their Construction Sector.

The Role
  • Effective utilisation of Company Sales methodology to: Prospect for and successfully acquire new, defined business opportunities.
  • Create and deliver individual account plans for Key Accounts in order to grow, retain and maximise profit of existing customers.
  • Contribute and deliver against the sector strategy based on Key Accounts insight and market trends and research.
  • Deliver net GPC forecast of Key Accounts within overall book of business.
  • Manage key internal relationships in order to drive excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Build strong strategic customer relationships, with depth and breadth, to promote the brand and proposition at all levels within our customers business.
  • Orchestrate relevant internal and external resources to deliver against account plans.
  • Develop and drive a fit for purpose value proposition for all Key Accounts and document proactive value add activity.
  • Drive your personal development plan in order to be an expert on your Key Accounts and knowledgeable in your sector.
The Person
  • You will be an experienced Key Account Manager ideally with strong experience in the Construction or similar sector. A knowledge of Health & Safety products/services would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Candidates with experience of dealing with National clients and board level but not from the Construction are still invited to apply.
  • You must have experience of face to face meetings with clients in the field, and will be a confident and experienced presenter, as this role will involve extensive pitching to new and existing clients.
  • Proven track record of growing sales through great service and through smart sales techniques.
  • You will be a true self starter, somebody who can manage their own time effectively.
  • The role will involve National travel and frequent time away from home.
  • Ideal candidates will be based anywhere from Birmingham and South and be flexible on travel.
£37-42k Basic Plus £50-55k OTE, Car, iPad, Phone & Strong benefits package
