The Supply Register is exclusively working with an Academy Trust in Nottingham, who are seeking a Design Technology teacher, starting as soon as possible. The school seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher of Design and Technology to join a forward-looking and ambitious Department.

The position is a temporary long-term role, £96 - £143 on a full day-to-day basis depending on experience. The ideal DT teacher must have experience within a Secondary KS3 /KS4 setting and be confident in delivering a well-structured lesson.

The specialism of the selected Design TechnologyTeacher can be within Electronics, Resistant Materials, Product Design or Graphic Design. The ability to teach more than one discipline is desirable. The Design Technology Teacher will be expected to teach across the curriculum and should be a strong teacher of resistant materials and product design with the opportunity to teach up to KS4. NQT's are welcome to apply for this role, as we have an NQT induction programme and there are opportunities for aggressive career progression within the trust.

The position is set to commence as soon as possible. To be considered for the position of Design Technology teacher :
  • Recent experience of teaching Design Technology in a Secondary School
  • Familiar and confident with the planning and delivery of lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Teaching Qualification
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons to promote growth and nurture
