We are recruiting for a PR Manager on a 12 month fixed-term maternity cover. The role will be reporting directly in to the Marketing Director, and will cover both PR and Social Media activity across the business.
You will own all aspects of PR for the business, including liaising with and escalating crisis issues to our board directors, and managing both proactive and reactive elements of the role.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Delivering the communications plan across the UK media landscape
• Build a leading content strategy by working with the product, operations and IT teams
• Work closely with the wider marketing and commercial Hermes Send team to deliver integrated campaigns
• Find innovative ways of delivering the message across traditional and digital channels
• Manage media inquiries and interview requests
• Manage the external PR agency support
• Support the Senior Campaigns Manager in creating impactful industry and client events
• Line manage the PR & Social Executive
• Provide counsel re social media and PR to support social media and oversee best practice
You will work closely with the wider marketing team, including taking up line management responsibility for our PR Executive and building strong relationships with our external agency support.
Other skills/experience we're looking for are:
• Extensive experience in public relations
• Line management experience
• Proven track record in designing and executing successful PR campaigns
• Exceptional writing and copywriting skills
• Experience in working with multiple stakeholders and senior level executive
• Solid social media experience to provide best practice support to the exec and related teams
As we are a 24/7 business you will be required to deal with out of hours crisis/comms should they arise, particularly as we head in to our busy period around Christmas.
