SEN Teaching Assistant, Bristol

£15,149 - £17,054 per annum actual DOE

Full-time, 40 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

We are looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants living close to the Bristol area. You will be joining a wonderful school service who provide specialist education and residential care for children and young people aged 7-19 with Autism Spectrum Disorders, communication and associated difficulties.

What would the role involve?

As their Teaching Assistant, your role will be vital in ensuring the educational, social, emotional and physical needs of all the learners are met. You will support the teachers to assist pupils with their educational and social development. You will develop warm and caring relationships with the children, helping them to achieve all their goals. You will also vital in contributing to providing varied high quality and challenging educational activities and experiences. You can help the children flourish and achieve positive futures.

What experience & qualifications are required?

·You will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare, or equivalent, or be willing to work towards this;

·It is desirable that you hold SSTLS;

·Experience of working with children with special needs in a classroom environment;

·3 or more GCSEs (including Maths and English) at Grade C or above, or other equivalent.
