Accounts Assistant £16,000-£18,000 plus study support

Purpsose of the role

To provide support to the Lettings Finance Manager. To assist in day to day activities involved in maintaining accurate accounting and KPI records, predominantly for the Lettings businesses but also to include other group companies as and when needed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Carrying out various accounting duties which may include, but not be limited to the following:
  • Managing and posting monthly relevant journals for the Lettings Business (i.e. income and cost of sales).
  • Calculating and posting monthly commission & Bonus payments for the Lettings business.
  • Producing and distributing monthly P&Ls and P&L Packs.
  • Posting on month end journals for other group companies.
  • Assisting in preparing weekly and monthly reports -KPI's / league tables / performance graphs.
  • Assisting in preparing weekly and monthly reports -KPI's / league tables / performance graphs.
  • Responding to and resolving P&L queries from the field of branches.
  • Carrying out balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide assistance throughout the Budgeting Process.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks as required.

Key Skills and Experience
  • AAT studier
  • Strong Excel skills, and competent in Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, numeric and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Accurate with attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills
