Infrastructure Specialist - Contract - Gloucestershire - Up to £500 per day

Our client is seeking keen-minded Infrastructure Specialist's responsible for helping to deliver the next generation of technology to their client.

As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a key part in the delivery of projects and solution improvement initiatives.

You will ensure that IT infrastructures are fit for purpose and delivering value, and through providing 3rd line support, you will be responsible for the delivery, support and maintenance of systems against SLAs.

About the role:
  • Develop IT infrastructure in order to continuously improve quality and service levels in line with the client's requirements
  • Produce costings and solution designs when recommending new IT systems, services and technologies
  • Providing environment incident and problem management, liaising with 3rd party suppliers as required
  • Developing and reviewing documented procedures for environment management, support and version control, ensuring compliance to technical and service quality standards
  • Develop standard operation procedures for the configuration and installation of all elements of the platform infrastructure
  • Suggest service improvements in process and technologies used by the business to meet business objectives.

Things They Expect from You:
  • You will have previous, proven experience of leading network design, configuration and implementation of projects.
  • Experience in routing and switching and will have a sound knowledge of both network security and network utilities.
  • Knowledge of the following technologies: networking experience (LAN,WAN,Wi-Fi, VoIP), SAN technologies, firewalls, IDS / IPS systems, remote access techniques including RADUIS and VPN techniques, cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure from a design and administration perspective, ITIL / awareness of ISO20000 / 27000, business continuity and IT security standard and procedures
  • Able to work as part of a team and effectively communicate with a variety of individuals across different groups
  • Dedicated and being able to work with independence and flexibility as travel may be required

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
