The Company

Our client has been in business for over 25 years and is an extremely well respected name in their industry. They have a number of sites across the UK and are currently recruiting out of their offices just to the South of Leeds.

The Role

You'll lead a professional software development (3 x C# developers) and application support team (2 apps support engineers) ensuring they're able to work well with the rest of the IT team and wider business.

Your team will liaise with application architects and ensure all development work is prioritised and monitored. You'll plan, manage and organise your team and also manage 3rd party application support organisations; as well as providing ideas and suggestions on new applications and how they can move the business forward. You'll use agile methodology to support development sprints and successfully lead, manage and plan applications projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.

The Person

Candidates will need to demonstrate extensive software development experience with a good knowledge of the .net framework and C#. Project and delivery management experience using Agile, scrum and Kanban along with good general leadership skills, coaching/mentoring etc, are required.

In addition to the technical skills you should have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Able to understand requirements from the business and the commercial pressures that users are under; react quickly to system problems, remaining calm in difficult situations; and interacting with all levels of the organisation to inform about problems or projects that are underway.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to take on a broader range of responsibility, outside of hands-on coding, in a role that will have significant impact across the business.

Salary is up to £50,000 and the role will come with car/car allowance (yes, there is a potential for some travel) in addition to company bonus.
