Your new company

I am currently recruiting for a Commercial Director/ Chief Commercial Officer to work for a successful and growing Wholesaler of Plumbing and heating supplies based in Portsmouth.

Your new role

In the role you will head up a team of 12, the company are looking for a dynamic and inspirational leader as they have an established business model and are now looking to scale up. In the day to day you will be managing a large supplier base and negotiating big deals, so someone confident in negotiating big numbers is key, conducting booth routine and commercially important supplier meeting, building relationships and ensuring the company are getting the best quality for the best price. Additionally you will be responsible for the product and supplier selections, competitor analysis, pricing and supply chain management.

The role is a senior level role and the MD is looking for it to grow into a board level role after 1 year. The company is run like a family, their aim is to be the best place to work, they have recently made the Sunday Times top 100 places to work as well as many other accolades. Their main goal is to have the best product at the best price.

The MD will work closely alongside you in this role,he trusts his employees and allows them a licence to do things in their own way. They are forward- thinking and are transitioning from a regional business to a national business so it is an incredibly exciting time to join.
