Due to business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an AV Service & Support Engineer to work within the service team of a leading AV company in Oxfordshire. The client specialises in the integration of audio visual systems for corporate clients throughout the UK, i.e.supplying, installing and maintaining LED displays, video walls, projectors, audio equipment and control systems used by their clients in their presentation and conferencing rooms.

Reporting to the Service Supervisor your role will be pivotal in the support of high quality, well-engineered audio visual and video conference solutions to our existing and new client base. You will be provided with ongoing training across multiple disciplines in order to develop your existing skills and diagnose/fix failures in our clients AV systems, so a huge amount of AV experience isn't necessary.

Typically the duties of the Service & Support Engineer will include:

• Working closely with the admin team in the management of all AV/VC support agreements including logging, attending and closing down of service calls on in- house management system.

• Undertaking scheduled preventative maintenance service visits to clients with support agreements.

• Accurate liaison with other departments to ensure client account is maximised to full potential i.e. additional works, Etc.

• Uploading of compiled code and firmware to audio visual control systems i.e. Crestron.

• Uploading of firmware / configuration files to VC hardware i.e. Cisco/Polycom.

• Providing end user training & obtaining client sign off where required to both newly commissioned and existing AV/VC solutions.

• Providing support to the engineering team in the commissioning of installed AV/VC solutions.

In addition to the practical responsibilities above the Service & Support engineer will also be required to uphold the following ethics:

• To be an enthusiastic team player capable of meeting deadlines and going the extra mile to ensure timely project completions.

• To have/maintain strong knowledge of other manufacturers products.

• To ensure that health & safety policies are complied with at all times.

• To act in a professional and courteous manner to customers, suppliers and colleagues.

• To provide monthly feedback to the Service Manager in relation to service activity.

• To have a clean Full UK driving license

The role would suit someone who is technically minded, keen to forge a career in AV, but doesn't have lots of existing AV experience.
