Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

The key KPI's for a Retail Area Manager in this business are to maximize the sales and profit performance of the area, through the effective development and management of all store managers, company processes, sales opportunities and the effective deployment of available resources on your area.

You will be passionate about over achieving your KPI delivery and the overall P&L performance achievement for your area, but most of all seeing this done through your teams and supporting their personal growth and development. Having already proven yourself in an area management role, or as a Store or General Manager for a large blue chip volume led retailer, you'll be self-motivated, willing to lead by example and a great coach.


Recruit, retain, engage and performance manage the team to ensure the right people are in the right positions within the retail business
Promote sustainable business growth and highly satisfied customers by building excellent business to business interactions
Monitoring the profitability of the area and driving the importance of this with the retail store managers
Ensuring store compliance to all Company standards, values, policies and procedures as well as Health & Safety compliance
Setting store payroll targets and working with managers to ensure compliance
When necessary follow the Company staff disciplinary procedures
Ensure all staff are multi-skilled to complete a wide range of duties within the retail store
Ensure all staff have knowledge of products and services within the whole retail store
Advise the management team in managing the performance of self and others within agreed limits including setting performance standards and efficient use of the team around you
Complete yearly appraisals for staff within agreed time limits
Ensuring staffing levels are adequate to offer excellent customer service for the whole area
Identify business levers and pro-actively assist the Store Managers to keep track of the competition so that the business can respond to change
Manage KPI performance at area level as well as troubleshooting individual stores where needed
Driving customer service standards to achieve sales and exceed customer satisfaction targets


A proven track record of managing a successful large store or area with a minimum previous turnover of 20m
A confident and natural leader who is able to coach, develop, lead and motivate a team to deliver high performance
You will have a can do attitude, be naturally confident, passionate about people and achieving in your role. Your determination and focus to achieve will shine through when you talk through your career

A deep knowledge of the retail market with exceptional business acumen and commercial awareness
