Description

As the Management Accountant based from the Farnham, Surrey Office you will be responsible for

Description

Provide management accounts, reports and analysis of the Group Services Functions in a timely, accurate and insightful manner. Providing support to the GS Finance Manager.

Objectives

Ensure that accurate financial reports are prepared on a timely basis with a discipline of continuous improvement depending on management requirements.

Provide management with accurate and relevant analysis of financial data.

Take full ownership of the 'order to purchase to pay' process.

Management Reporting
  • Ensure monthly accounting tasks are carried out to ensure timely and accurate submission to Group.
  • Review management reports to ensure completeness and accuracy. Ensure quality of management narrative.
  • Challenge variances against budget and prior periods to ensure clear understanding of the results.
  • Support IT managers to ensure they fully understand their impact to the results.
  • Own the contracts database.
  • Provide support in the annual budget submission.
  • Prepare regular financial forecasts.
  • Ad Hoc analysis as required

Profile
  • Experience in a similar role - management or financial accounting background
  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA part qualified or working towards one of these qualifications
  • Strong Excel skill (Pivot Tables, VLook Up's)
  • Experience using the MS Navision system is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Effective planning and time management
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet stipulated deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision

Job Offer

Salary £34,000 - £38,000, Study support package, 23 days holiday, Pension, Free Parking, Hours 9.00 - 5.30 Monday to Friday
