Job Description:
What you'll be doing:

To provide support for the Business and Client Development activities within the South region for the Gatwick office. This role will be work closely with the Practice Leader, and support the office's 'work gainers' in implementing local business plans, in line with the defined KPI's.The role will support the 'Growth Engine' to operate effectively by helping - as agreed with the local practice leader - with: monitoring sales pipeline, supporting on Business Development activities and campaigns, supporting on local pitches, supporting teams with account management plans, and the communication of Business and Client Development news.

The role will also be conduit between the national marketing team and the local offices, ensuring that national marketing outputs are utilised effectively within the office; this will require communication and engagement, localisation, implementation, monitoring of follow up and outcomes.
  • Supports the local office teams with their implementation of structured account management as appropriate
  • Support the central Client Development team in connecting the client voice programme into the office, including co-ordination of online and face to face reviews, and engagement with Partners/Directors to ensure completion of all follow up actions.
  • Supports the local Practice Leader in determining the local budget required to support the implementation of the business plan
  • Supports the local teams in reporting against KPIs.
  • Is a confident and clear communicator and builds strong relationships with fee earners at all levels
  • Works collaboratively with BD colleagues across the region, sharing intelligence and joining up, where required, to support in Client and Business Development activities
  • Acts as a role model for colleagues and reports and provides constructive upward feedback to more senior colleagues
  • To have an understanding of the firm's market objectives, market position, target audiences, and what this means at a local level
  • Working and connecting with the central Meeting Origination team in support of the local BD plans
  • As required, project manages the implementation of national campaigns within the region, applying the highest production standards.
  • Work closely with local support teams in line with the implementation of the business plans - in particular around events
  • Support 'work gainers' on pitches.

Who we're looking for:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (Minimum requirement)
  • Some experience in a comparative Business Development role
  • Experience of co-ordinating Marketing, Client & Business activities with measurable outcome
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to challenge
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience of managing own time and completing multiple tasks/assignments with potentially competing deadlines
  • Understanding of analysis, and measuring ROI
  • Marketing qualification, ie CIM Diploma or Post-Graduate Diploma or appropriate equivalent professional qualification (Desirable)
  • Experience within a professional services organization or a complex/matrixed organisation (Desirable)
