Our client, a local, well established and reputable house builder are looking to recruit a Legal Assistant to join their busy, vibrant and dynamic team based at their Park Gate Head Office.

Duties for the Legal Assistant will include:
  • Manage legal correspondence with the Group's solicitor in respect of Land; acquisition, planning, sales and build contracts.
  • Read and analyse legal/planning correspondence in relation to sites, highlighting any extra costs or issues which could affect the viability of the site.
  • Work closely with Housing Associations and Social Housing providers to prepare, progress and complete land sales and build contracts.
  • Manage Consultants and obtain reports on sites being purchased.
  • Prepare and present legal handover files containing relevant site information.
  • Assist in the supervision of the Land Administrators in obtaining Ordnance Survey records, Flood risk assessments, Tree Order Protection information and relevant planning information in order to complete site feasibility for presentation to Land Manager
The successful Legal Assistant will have:
  • Legal real estate experience is essential, as well as a general appreciation of land acquisition and a keen eye for detail.
  • Commercial Awareness
  • Good standard of secondary education
  • Quality Management Systems and their application
  • Ability to problem solve and resolve issues effectively
  • Strong Communication Skills - both oral and written
  • Good Negotiation and Presentation Skills
  • A keen eye for detail
Hours of work are office hours Monday to Friday. Free Parking is available on site.
