Engineering Service Manager - Medical Lasers, Servicing and Repairs

Are you an experienced Service Engineer or Service Manager looking to advance your career with a quality UK based company that specialises in medical lasers?

You might have experience in either the armed forces, electronics, medial electronics or laser sector, and wish to transfer to 100% laser technology.

The role we are recruiting for at present is for a highly regarded and well-branded company that has an established and happy installed base of laser customers (there are a large number of different laser technologies within the range)

The personal and professional attributes that you will need for this will include an optimistic and upbeat attitude, excellent people and communication skills, creative thinking, masses of common sense and a logical and calm approach to tackling tasks.

Role and Responsibilities

·Leadership and day to day management of the team of Engineers and Support Staff.

·Stake holder management with both suppliers and the internal Operations team.

·Creating a system driven culture by ensuring the system and data within it is accurate and up-to-date.

·Ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance is delivered

·Identify process gaps in current operation where efficiencies could be achieved in logistics, stock control, job scheduling and engineer optimisation.

·Project management of specific work streams.

·Health and Safety - for the team and clients, during and after work has been completed.

You will have experience in the following areas:

·Degree or HND in Electronics / Electronic Engineering of certificated equivalent from HM Forces

·2 -3 years + experience in a field service role for systems based machines where several types of system (i.e. Electronic / Electrical / Cooling / Mech-a-tronics) are integral to the complete machine operation. Similar military experience is also highly desirable.

·Optional:An in-depth knowledge of Laser technology, Nd:YAG, Pulsed Dye, Q-Switched etc is highly desirable.

·Experienced in leading and managing engineers and support staff to deliver business objectives. (This is optional. If you feel that you have the right people skills to inspire and lead people, please apply)

·Ability to gain credibility and trust with the engineering and service team.

·A pragmatic and 'real world' approach to solving problems.

·You will be 'hands on' and happy to spend a proportion of your time also seeing customers, maintaining and repairing lasers yourself as well.

·Commercially minded with budgetary management experience.

·Ability to prioritise time and focus on key deliverables.

·You'll be robust, used to operating in high pace, high action environments.

Basic salary, Bonus + Fully expensed car + BUPA + Life Assurance
