Sake Marketing Manager

A leading Japanese food wholesale provider based in London is looking to recruit a Sake Marketing

Manager to manage and develop its sake activities in its Wholesale Food Service Division.


Sake Sales
  • Inventory and quality management of the products

·Improvement of the relationships with sake producers.

oPreparing monthly activity reports

oSharing strategies to achieve the targets

oHosting events and meetings at restaurants and retail stores
  • Monitor & evaluate market trends in Japan and UK, to ascertain what may be suitable here and introduce to market as required.
  • Building marketing strategies for all the restaurant teams and manage their implementation.
  • To work closely with the Sales Departments to obtain forecasts on sales demand and feedback on quality and price.

Sake Education
  • Providing customised professional Sake training sessions to various levels of customers.
  • Developing effective sake training materials which incorporate Japanese distinct cultures, history, market trend and behaviour.

Sake Consultancy

·Analysing customer's issues and proposing solutions with professional marketing and design skills.

Sake Promotion

·Organize Sake events:

oCollaborating with governmental institutions (etc. Japan External Trade Organization, Japan saké and Shochu Makers Association, and Japan Embassy)

oSuggest Sake evening event at customer's venue.

Qualifications / Experience
  • Graduate level education
  • A globally recognized professional certification in Sake (WSET Award in Sake level 1 & 3).
  • Proven track record and knowledge of Sake products
  • Language Skills: Japanese - Native level speaking, reading & writing; English - advanced business level.
  • Experience: The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role.

·Experience & understanding of dealing with hospitality and restaurant industries.

·Extensive experience of & understanding of Japanese foods & in-depth knowledge of cuisine.

·Computer Skills: Good at Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point. An advantage to be an experienced user of SAP Business One.

Salary: £35,000.00 gross p.a.
