Our client is a growing business based in Hemel Hempstead and due to continued growth they are looking for someone to look after the day-to-day finances of their divisional office.

Reporting remotely to the Head of Finance and on site to the Operations Manager, your role will be varied and duties will include;

Production of weekly and monthly reports
Monitoring and analysing financial data and producing KPI variance information
Entering the invoices generated to accounting system
Entering payments received by debit and credit card
Ensuring all receipts are reconciled between systems and to bank account
Entering purchase invoices and gaining payment approval
Reconciliation of direct costs with sales
Calculation of accruals and prepayments
Month end reconciliations of nominal ledgers
Daily bank and card reconciliations
Working closely with internal personnel and senior management as appropriate
Credit control and debt management
Maintaining VAT records and producing VAT reports
Ad hoc reporting

The successful candidate will be a strong, all-round candidate who is happy to work in a varied role where you will be hands-on with the detail as well as being able to produce the higher level financial information.

As this will be a sole role on site, you will be well-versed in managing your own workload whilst also being able to report in to head office, ensuring that deadlines are met and adhered to.

Experience of finance systems is essential and strong Excel skills are also very important.

Whilst this role will be based in Hemel the majority of the time, there will be some travel to head office (fully expensed) and therefore a driving licence is essential.

Ideally AAT qualified and with a proven background working for a small to medium-sized business, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who likes being able to make a difference in the company that they are working for and enjoys being busy.
