We have a client based around the Heathrow area who is looking for someone with experience in System analysis, preferably with a freight background. This role will also involve travel at home and abroad.

Ideally you will have a degree in system analysis. IT or business studies

The ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation and varied customer base.

An articulate, creative thinker with the ability to share their views succinctly and sensibly

Overview of the role:

The Business Systems Analyst is the liaison among the organizational stakeholders, end users, and

the technical solution development team. Your goal will be to manage the processes and techniques

that will elicit the information needed from the business and its users to facilitate the successful

development of a solution. You will be expected to analyse software implementation, including

developing business requirements, process design, procurement, testing and implementation

support. This person will support our systems technically, providing setup, configuration, testing,

training, and development support

The Purpose of the system analyst is to cultivate an atmosphere where staff are highly motivated,

trained and their needs are properly analysed and documented.

Moderate European and UK travel will be involved to affiliated offices.

Needs to fully understand the needs and drivers of the clients business and how best to integrate these

into daily tasks and system design

Must work closely with overseas offices, travelling to these whenever required, build relationships

well at every level of the business

Must work closely with department managers supervisors and staff on operational matters and

involve with enthusiasm to service customers.

Monitor and support on operational matters and be a team player.

Must work closely monitoring and putting preventive measures in place for Quality issues.

Monitor system performance, network performance and provide support to the stakeholders

Proactively liaising extensively with external or internal stakeholders ie managers and staff as well

customers, suppliers and other service providers

mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systems

understanding software development lifecycle and document them

translating operational requirements into highly specified project briefs

identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business


conducting requirements analysis and preparing specific proposals for modified or replacement


producing project feasibility and costings reports

working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical

compatibility and user satisfaction

ensuring that budgets are adhered to and deadlines are met

drawing up, supervising and documenting testing schedules for complete systems

implementation of a new system including data migration

planning and working flexibly to deadlines

supporting users on change control and system updates

providing training and prepare user manuals to users of a new system

keeping up to date with technical and industry developments.

Must complete all required reporting expeditiously and accurately

Must analyse data, business needs and identify areas requiring attention

Assist local Sales staff, making customer service/sales calls where and when necessary
