I am working with Secondary schools in the Southampton area who are looking for temporary teachers to start in June 2019 & Sept 2019.
They are looking for temporary Teachers of History who can teach KS3 & KS4.

In your new History teaching job you will enjoy working within a secondary school situated in the Southampton areas.

We will pay you on a full scale whilst you are covering full time or part time on a temporary contract.

You will teach KS3 and KS4 students and be responsible for developing the students and guiding them on ways to improve. The role will require planning and preparing lessons, as well as setting appropriate homework and coursework and have regular contact with students. Working as a Temporary Teacher for Hays will also allow you to have access to a number of partnership schools that would be inaccessible by any other means, and you will be given the opportunity to focus on teaching in the Key Stage you specialise in.

In order to succeed as a Secondary Teacher you will need to have qualified teacher status, or be looking to complete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. If you are a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times, I would like to speak with you. Secondary teachers will need to have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to other members of staff and people in the school.

The schools in Southampton are in areas which are easy to reach by car or local transport from the south coastal towns and collectively working towards outstanding so I can give you great detail on their individual values and ethos.
