Support pre-sales activities on key engagements to articulate the detail of solutions and the benefit to customers

Client Details

The client is a rapidly growing software house providing solutions to healthcare clients across the UK and Ireland.


The Product Consultant will;
  • Conceive and document solutions for new customer opportunities
  • Support pre-sales activities such as early customer engagements, understanding customer requirements, solution demonstrations and bid responses
  • Support development of relevant product marketing material to emphasise USPs
  • Work with marketing to produce first of type sales materials for new solutions
  • Act as 'Product Owner' for very new, early life propositions around integration, shared care records and artificial intelligence until these are embedded in normal process
  • Be the 'expert' for your products including market, technical and industry knowledge
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the marketplace, competitors and industry trends in order to identify new business and marketing opportunities
  • Travel to support sales engagements, mostly in the UK for NHS and private healthcare organisations


  • Ability to assemble high level product solutions for customer opportunities
  • Good knowledge of the healthcare IT industry
  • Understanding of how to take a product to market
  • Be entrepreneurial, dynamic and personable
  • Ability to positively influence internal teams and customers
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional development
  • Considerable healthcare sector work experience ideally in a product or pre-sales role
  • Understanding of healthcare tech standards particularly XDS, HL7, DICOM and FHIR
  • Confident and credible presentation skills

  • Previous employment in EHR sector e.g. PAS, EPR, EDM, Theatres, Patient Flow etc
  • Product marketing and design flair with experience of taking new solutions to market
  • Previous working experience in the NHS (or related organisation)
  • Awareness of product management tools, terms, and concepts
