What it's like to work here
Change is taking place at Petworth House and Park and the team are looking for innovative people to join them. The team is currently working to update the property's visitor offering and highlight its internationally-renowned collection of pictures and sculpture as well as its Capability Brown designed historic park and pleasure grounds. What you'll be doing
As a Volunteering Assistant, you'll support managers with the day to day management and organisation of volunteering. You'll act as a consistent point of contact and help with the administration and maintaining of volunteer systems.

You'll need to be well organised in this support role, and also be confident in managing volunteers. You'll assist the volunteer management team in ensuring our team are giving a high standard of customer service everytime, for everyone.

This role will involve working regular weekends on a rota.
Who we're looking for
To deliver this role successfully, you'll need to;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of volunteering and be enthusiastic about promoting the benefits of great volunteer involvement
  • Have excellent customer services and communication skills
  • Have enthusiasm for working with volunteers and understand the differences between staff and volunteers
  • Have a flexible approach and be a great team player, be able to multi-task and work in collaboration with other departments
  • Be well organised and attentive to detail
  • A working knowledge of volunteering practice
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Administration/support services
