School Finance Administrator job in Weston-Super-Mare

A Finance Administrator is required in a primary school within Weston-Super-Mare. The role will be 30 hours a week, days to be negotiated and is to start ASAP. Interviews are being held as early as this week, the role will be until the end of the academic year.

Your new role
The school are looking to hire a well organised and enthusiastic Finance Administrator where you will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager of the Trust. As part of the role, you will be responsible in ensuring that the school's financial records are maintained efficiently and accurately according to school policies, audit regulations and standards set out in the Academies Financial Handbook.

You will have excellent attention to detail as you will be completing general financial and administrative duties such as raising orders, petty cash, credit card reconciliations, updating the school system in relation to breakfast and after-school club and registering payments. You will assist in administrating the finance system and provide advice and guidance to the staff across the school in relation to any queries.

What you'll need to succeed

For this Finance Administrator role, you will need to have recent and relevant experience within a business environment as well as excellent communication skills. You will need demonstrable ICT skills including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. You will need to have a minimum of 5 GCSE's at C Level or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English. Experience of working within an education would be desirable, however being able to use your own initiative and confidence using data systems is essential.
