Project Engineer £28,000 - £35,000 (Dependent on Experience) Hull About the Company My client is a specialist supplier of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems, they are looking for a Mechanical Engineer. The company is renowned for innovative solutions; designing, manufacturing, installing and maintaining systems for offshore and onshore clients worldwide. Job Summary of the Mechanical Engineer The Mechanical Engineer leads a multi-discipline engineering project team providing the mechanical authority within the team. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the completion of their allocated tasks within the project team on time, to specification and within budget. To this end the Mechanical Engineer performs a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, working to project deadlines, working closely with clients and mechanical design. Duties of the Mechanical Engineer •Develop design work utilising computer-assisted design, SolidWorks, AutoCAD and other •software as required •Design systems and equipment in line with UK and international standards and project •specifications •Optimise design with a view to reduce procurement costs, production time and •documentation costs •Produce 2D & 3D drawings to optimise the manufacturing process and minimise costs •Create and maintain Bills Of Materials (BOM) •Check certification of components / materials are in line with project specification •Manage day to day operational aspects of the projects •Achieve a reliable and acceptable standard of planning, project and production •documentation at the first attempt •Prioritize workload in order to meet project / business needs •Full UK Driving License, this role may require driving on Company business •This role may require national and international travel to meet the needs of individual •projects. •Developing and maintain effective working relationships with key contacts •Maintain awareness of current trends and developments within profession •Generating ideas for improved work procedures •Performing work in context of overall department and project priorities Requirements of the Mechanical Engineer •Degree qualified in a relevant discipline including mechanical/electrical/product design or be able to demonstrate work at an appropriate level •2 years' experience in an Engineering role •Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing company preferred •Proficient with AutoCAD and Solidworks •Project Management experience •Sheetmetal, Fabrication experience •Oil and Gas Industry experience •HVAC and Air Conditioning experience would be advantageous •'Go- to person' for the Design team •Supervisor of small team •3 years design experience •Strong attention to detail. •Excellent communication skill If you are a Mechanical Engineer or know anyone with relevant experience, please contact Adele at Premier Group.
