East Sussex

Training Manager needed for a large organisation based in East Sussex who are looking to employ an experienced Training Manager with an in-depth knowledge of training around specific software products.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Training Manager will include:
  • Work with product management and development to anticipate market needs for training around products and features
  • Work with Systems & Support Engineers and Programme Managers to identify customers knowledge gaps and specific course development that will save time and cost
  • Plan, develop, organise, write and edit written materials including product training content, knowledge-based articles and guides, to be used by themselves and others
  • Configure, upgrade and maintain training equipment and resources
  • Script, shoot and edit video and audio content for items more easily and more effectively explained in these forms
  • Deliver training to staff and customers
  • Plan, develop and run a training schedule
  • Test the material with users to ensure its effectiveness
  • Maintain continuity of design, writing and presentation styles
  • Manage updates and revisions to all content
  • Work within and manage the training delivery, assessment and verification management systems

What you need to be the successful Training Manager

In order to be the successful Training Manager and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess an ability to take complex issues and break them down into a series of simple concepts
  • Be able to write in formal as well as informal styles alongside explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
  • Pay attention to detail and ensure accuracy and completeness of the content they produce
  • Be proficient with MS Office tools
  • Be a team player, comfortable working in a wide team and building strong professional relationships
  • Be able to work to agreed timescales
  • Be able to work independently making decisions, problem solving and driving issues to a conclusion
  • Be able to develop courses meeting professional requirements
  • Be prepared to travel nationally and internationally to deliver training
