Harry Specters are recruiting - Autism Awareness, Chocolate and Leadership - all in one role!

Harry Specters is a chocolate manufacturing company based in Ely, Cambridgeshire and have the most amazing Social Mission: To offer confidence and hope to young people with autism by providing employment and free training, enabling them to produce great products (such as their award-winning chocolates). In doing so, they aim to be a role model for "great product, great cause" for other businesses, individuals and entrepreneurs.

On their behalf, I am looking to recruit a Floor Manager to work within their Operations team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a wonderful organisation who are doing amazing things to encourage positive change for people with Autism.

As Floor Manager, your role will be to supervise a group of people on the manufacturing and packaging floor in order to fulfil orders. You will act as a 'go to' person to ensure that orders are fulfilled as per customer requirements. You will liaise with suppliers to ensure that stock is available for packaging and will then direct the staff available for packaging to ensure that orders are fulfilled on time and as per customer requirements. You will also be responsible for packaging inventory to ensure that the stock items required for packaging are available.

A breakdown of the duties involved is as follows:
  • Order fulfilment for Online, Corporate and Hotels channels
  • Ensure that all resources are available for order fulfilment
  • To raise flags early in case of problems with order fulfilment
  • To coordinate with the staff in the production and packaging area
  • To direct packaging staff and make schedules for smooth operations

We would love to find someone with experience of working within a supervisory role on a manufacturing floor and who has past experience of working with people with additional needs. You will be kind, patient, supportive and someone with empathy in order to bring out the best in your team. The environment here is focused on spotting and utilising people's strengths rather than focusing on weaknesses.

You'll need to have effective communication skills for directing a small team without creating a stressful environment. You'll also be coming with the ability to multi-task and will have basic PC skills as a minimum.

If you feel that your skills and experience could be a match for the above position, please do get in touch today.
