Our client operates as a leader within the events management market, delivering valuable, innovative and high-quality services to the UK's most prestigious sporting events and festivals. The industry is extremely fast paced and is evolving quickly with the use of new technology and social media, providing ongoing opportunity for their further development as a brand leader in their field.

In support of their plan for further growth, they now seek to appoint their first dedicated, inhouse IT Manager. The ideal candidate will be a capable and technically strong IT Manager and will join the business at an extremely exciting time. The successful candidate will lead on delivering all internal IT services to Head office staff as well as plan and deliver technology projects in line with their appetite for adopting better technology across the business.

As IT Manager you will play a pivotal role in the review of existing, sourcing and implementation (where appropriate) and full integration of systems company-wide. The role is a balance between project management and technical, hands-on delivery, in which you will support the day to day whilst communicating effectively with the business to deliver technological advancements enabling greater efficiency and control. You will help in the development of their strategy for IT, be proactive in maximising their current and introducing new systems as well as leading in the rollout of software updates and patches.

Role and Responsibilities:

·Review and analyse the latest industry trends and where appropriate propose and implement developments to the current systems ensuring that these are aligned to the IT strategy.

·Manage the development of and implementation of detailed project plans ensuring project requirements are met within required timeframes and budgets.

·Supervise all aspects of the IT team's performance; monitoring, encouraging, coaching, guiding and leading by example.

·Manage all information technology and computer systems.

·Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.

·Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.

·Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.

·Oversee annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.

·Building effective relationships with key stakeholders.
