This international financial services organisation is recruiting for a Tax Manager to join the team, reporting into the EMEA Head of Tax. This international financial services organisation is recruiting for a Tax Manager to join the team, reporting into the EMEA Head of Tax. The role will be responsible for tax reporting and compliance (corporate and VAT) for entities based in the UK and Ireland. Key responsibilities will include: Prepare all journal entries relating to corporation tax and VAT Prepare draft corporation tax returns for all UK and Irish entities and respond to any questions from external advisors. Calculate and ensure all tax payments are made on timely basis Prepare UK and Irish VAT returns, including partial exemption calculation Prepare UK and Irish Intrastats and EC Sales List Prepare the UK Bank Levy balance sheet Collate information to assist with responding to enquiries from tax authorities Preparation of tax provisions for the month end, quarter end and year-end close process for UK and Irish entities, explaining variances and dealing with queries from London/Head Office Finance and Tax teams Assist with the tax notes for all the UK & Irish entities, including reviewing draft financial statements to ensure accuracy of numbers and appropriateness of financial statement disclosures Provide expertise in incorporating any tax disclosure requirements as new businesses/products are booked in the local entities Own ad hoc specified local and global projects and deliver them within demanding timelines whilst maintaining a high standard of technical accuracy. The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACA / ACCA / CTA with a working knowledge of UK corporate tax. Prior experience of working on VAT is not essential (as long as the candidate is happy to develop their knowledge in this area). but would be an advantage. The candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication & presentation skills as it will be part of their role to manage stakeholders within the local and Head Office finance teams, advising them on specific tax issues Morgan McKinley is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
