DWP are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with experience of managing delivery in Tooling to work with us on in a once-in-a-generation digital transformation. You and your role You'll join the DWP Infrastructure Services Tooling Team. We are responsible for deploying and managing a range of enterprise strength toolsets that manage the Departments IT Systems and IT Service Management capabilities. We have two roles within the Tooling team, this Delivery role and one that is more focused on product. In both roles you will be an intrinsic part of the Management team working with Tooling Product Owners as well as the engineering leads and Principal Tooling Engineer. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer Delivery Manager within the Tooling Team you will be responsible for the oversight of all DWP Tooling related projects and work. You will drive through Programme management methodologies within the team to provide a rolled up view of Project Statuses to the DWP Tooling Management team. And you'll build a robust work plan and a futures Roadmap to allow full mapping of Tooling deployments to desired business outcomes. As an Infrastructure Services Tooling Senior Delivery Manager you will manage the DWP Tooling work plan, reporting on project status and keeping central teams updated against progress in relation to tooling. With an eye on stakeholder management, you will manage risk logs, collate and produce Tooling management reports. You will also work closely with DWP's Agile Delivery Managers to ensure that sprint plans will deliver to the agreed timescale. What are we looking for? You can demonstrate significant level of experience in Programme Management, developing standard/repeatable processes, with substantiation of successful track record. You have experience of effectively communicating at different levels, across support and engineering, business users, architecture and suppliers. You happy supporting and mentoring the development of team members to successfully delivering projects and programmes to timescales and agreed budgets. You have significant experience of Waterfall and Agile Project Management techniques. You've got ITIL Qualification or equivalent experience across multiple ITIL process Where you'll work You'll join us in an easy-to-reach digital hub in either Blackpool, Manchester or Newcastle.
