Finance Manager- Lochgoilhead

To provide support in the timely preparation of management accounts and assist with other areas of the department. Reports to the Group Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support in the preparation of monthly and year end Management Accounts, with variance analysis
  • Maintenance, reconciliation, and (if required) adjustments of General Ledger accounts
  • Preparation of Farm Accounts
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Bank payments and receipts processing
  • Preparation of prepayments and accruals
  • Reconciliation of petty cash, debtors / creditors control accounts and intercompany accounts
  • Sales invoicing
  • VAT returns
  • Produce Management Information and reports as required for business performance monitoring
  • Interrogating all Finance and IT functions, documenting processes and building the procedures manual
  • Job Costing and Analysis
  • Support in the preparation of Annual Budgets for all Cost Centres within the Argyll Holidays Group.
  • Periodic update of Financial Models and the running of sensitivities on an adhoc basis
  • Perform any other duties as required to ensure the successful and efficient running of the Department

Education, Training & Experience:
  • Computer literate with a strong knowledge of excel (and Navision preferential)
  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Strong attention to detail and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Self motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Enthusiastic with a 'can do' attitude
