Adult Learning Liaison Officer Deeside, permanent full time 21,123-22,941 per annum Coleg Cambria is one of the UK's largest colleges employing more than 1450 staff in over five campuses, all conveniently located in North East Wales, offering easy accessibility from within North Wales, Shropshire, Wirral, Merseyside and Cheshire. We are now looking to appoint a highly motivated, innovative individual with a proven track record of engaging and inspiring adult learners to take up learning opportunities. Reporting to the Deputy Director for Essential Skills & ESOL you will contribute to the increased participation in adult learning through planning, coordination and development of adult skills delivery. Working with local organisations you will support learners from a wide range of backgrounds to embark on adult learning courses across Wrexham and Flintshire. Key responsibilities of the role include: Identifying and developing strong networking opportunities with community and voluntary organisations, local schools and employers. Engaging with adults and local organisations in the community to collate information about learning needs, aspirations and barriers to learning. Working with the marketing department to develop appropriate tools including social media and part time prospectus to engage with the community and develop our learners. Ensuring the effective organisation of and facilitate relevant events and taster sessions to support the delivery of adult learning. Representing the college at appropriate meetings with external stakeholders community partnership meetings. Form effective and co-operative relationships with learners, employers, deputy and assistant principals and other key stakeholders. To be considered for this role you must be educated to a C or above in GCSE Maths and English. You also need to be able to demonstrate experience of community engagement, knowledge and experience of adult learning and experience of event organisation and facilitation. Excellent planning and organisation skills are also essential for this role. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable A DBS Disclosure will be requested from the successful applicant being offered the position. Closing Date: 14/06/2019
